Gentle Exercise Classes are facilitated by Sadie, who explains the essentials and importance of the anatomy and physiology movement required within the body to create a warm-up exercise or pose prior to students performing it. Students gain in-depth knowledge, learning, and understanding of the skeletal, muscular, internal organs, development, and structural alignments of the limbs and muscles.
Understanding mobility, and flexibility empowers Sadie’s students to strengthen and stretch their whole bodies with the peace of mind that they are in safe hands, improving their fitness levels, mobility, and daily well-being.
Gentle Exercise Classes are for total beginners, those new to exercise, recovering from an injury to all abilities covered. Sadie has a wealth of understanding, and knowledge and encourages all individuals to go at their own pace and not to push themselves too hard in her classes to have fun, relax, and remember laughter is the key to fabulous exercise. All warm-up stretches and poses are modified so that they can be practiced on a mat, chair, or standing and are explained as well as demonstrated by Sadie. This allows all students the opportunity to embark on the pose or stretch in a safe and slow manner or enjoy coming in and out of the exercise at a pace comfortable to themselves and relaxing and resting while others finish the pose or stretch.
As individuals, we come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and from a variety of lifestyles but there is one thing we all have in common how we breathe. Sadie explains to all students how to work with their breath as an individual. By giving them detailed information, knowledge, and understanding of how the internal organs the lungs, circulation, the rib cage, and muscles protecting our lungs are connected to all the other muscles and bones within the whole body. So when we are engaged in gentle exercise we move from one warm-up stretch to another and then move into poses. How to safely and carefully as individuals do these exercises within the homeostasis of our own bodies and to maintain a healthy, mobile, and flexible body that improves our daily well-being and lifestyles.

This wealth of knowledge allows Sadie to facilitate her weekly classes into unique learning opportunities so all students attending can enjoy a relaxing, calming, and energizing gentle exercise workout with Sadie whether it’s indoors, outside, or on the water. Sadie’s classes are meticulously crafted and delivered with a rich tapestry of personal experiences. She knows from her own personal journey what seems easy for one person can be a challenge for the next.
For those wishing to embrace the outdoors and the feeling of being surrounded by nature join Sadie in the Outdoor Park classes in the summer months. For those wishing to push the boundaries of their Gentle Exercise classes even further, Sadie offers these classes on a Stand-up paddle board in the summer season.

Here are our upcoming gentle exercise sessions
Indoor Studio Classes are held weekly all year round on Wednesday evenings 6.45pm to 7.45pm, Friday afternoons 2pm to 3pm, and Friday evenings 7pm to 8pm. Based at Flockton community centre in St James Church.
Outdoor Park Classes allow the individual to embrace the outdoors, and exercise in the beautiful and relaxing scenery of several locations as Sadie rotates the Gentle Exercise classes around the local area. These will be available from May to Late September in 2024.
Enclosed Flat Water Classes – Gentle Exercise on a Stand-up paddle board. These will be available from May to Late September in 2024. If you would like to join Sadie in one of these Gentle Exercise classes which are held on the water we do ask that you partake in the ASI SUPwise Start lesson or Competencey lesson with Everyday SUP first. Once signed off by our ASI SUP Instructors you can join Sadie’s weekly Gentle Exercise classes and our weekly SUP socials.
